Mrs. Karen Sterner
 Mrs. Karen Sterner has been teaching for 24 years. She taught Pre-kindergarten in the Reading School District for 13 years before coming to La Salle Academy where she has taught 3rd and 6th grades.
Mrs. Sterner graduated from Holy Name High School and Millersville State College. She earned a B.S. degree with dual certification in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Sterner is a master teacher. She is a member of NCEA and BCFHCA. She coaches field hockey for Holy Name High School.
Currently, Mrs. Sterner is La Salle's Language Arts Coordinator.
Fun Activities in Second Grade:
Second grade is an important year because the students receive two sacraments, Reconciliation and Holy Communion. In the spring they also enjoy attending the sacrament breakfast with the older students.
Mrs. Greenich does numerous activities to enhance the curriculum. Each month begins with a new book and incorporates and theme-based activities. The students look forward to Halloween, a visit from Santa, Mardi Gras, field trips, and an Author's Tea.
