Mrs. Kathy Snyder
Mrs. Kathy Snyder graduated from Albright College with a B.A. degree in Secondary Education and History. She was involved in numerous sports and was named Outstanding Senior Athlete. Mrs. Snyder has been teaching for 18 years, the past 13 years of which have been at La Salle Academy. Previously, she taught 7th, 8th, and 10th grade social studies in the Daniel Boone School District. Mrs. Snyder holds an Instructional II Certification. She is a member of NCEA and was named in Who's Who Among American Teachers.
Mrs. Snyder is La Salle Academy's Social Studies Coordinator and monitors La Salle's History Fair. She coordinates the National Geography Bee and mock presidential elections. Mrs. Snyder serves on the Diocese of Allentown Middle School Committee.
Fun Activities for Sixth Grade:
Sixth grade students look forward to presenting the "Sixth Grade Play" for their parents and the school. Sixth grade students also assume a leadership role by working with the younger students on a variety of activities throughout the year. They become involved with a social justice project in religion class and reach out to special needs children at the John Paul II Center. Sixth grade students enjoy participating in the jr. high school dances, and CYO sports activities. In addition, they learn more about science by visiting the Franklin Institute and participating in La Salle's Science Fair.
