In the event of emergencies or inclement weather,
please do the following:

  • Listen to the radio (WEEU 850, WRAW 1340, WRFY 102.5)
  • Watch TV (WFMZ TV – 69)
  • WFMZ Website

* Due to La Salle’s new website, La Salle will no longer be hosting the web site, therefore, we will not be able to post closings and delays.
Listen for a phone call from Blackboardconnect.

La Salle Academy and Early Childhood Center will always follow the decision made by Governor Mifflin School District.
Little La Salle at St. Benedict’s will follow the Twin Valley School District’s schedule.

  • Delayed Openings – If Governor Mifflin announces a one-hour delay, La Salle Academy will also announce a one-hour delay. Anyone transported by another public school district should listen carefully for the decision made by that particular district.
If La Salle Academy has a one-hour delay, the doors will open one hour later.

When there is a two-hour delay, preschool and prekindergarten classes will be cancelled; full day kindergarten should report two hours late.

When there is a two-hour delay, Little La Salle at St. Benedict’s morning classes will be cancelled. With a one-hour delay, St. Benedict’s classes should report one hour late.

  • Early Closings - In the event of an early closing due to inclement weather, it is the policy of our school to comply with the decisions made by the local school districts. Due to the volume of incoming phone calls, students may not be permitted to use the phone. Your child will be dismissed to his or her regular bus unless otherwise instructed. There will be no Lot 2 or Lot 3 dismissal.

When there is an early closing, and you normally pick up your child in either Lot 2 or Lot 3, we ask that you pick up your child when your local school district closes, as they are aware of road conditions. You may choose to pick up your child earlier if you are concerned about driving conditions in your area.

There will be no La Care offered on early dismissal days.

Please Note: For students traveling with Governor Mifflin High School students, please listen to what is happening at the high school to know what time Governor Mifflin will pick up La Salle students for the trip home.
